Who runs CoherentLight?
CoLight is run by Edward Luisser (Ed or Edward) and T J the loyal sidekick.

How fast is the "turnaround?"
Shipments usually go out within a few business days after the order hits my desk, computer or fax machine.

How fast are rush orders shipped?
Allowing for stock-on-hand they go out the next business morning. If you call early enough, it will leave that same day.

What other formats are available?
I can produce in PAL, N-PAL, and Secam, if there are any other formats you are interested in please
e-mail or call me at 405-525-8001 and I will find out how to arrange for the format conversion.

How does the "freebie" deal work?
If you buy any three tapes I slip in a fourth video. Now remember this is just like those restaurant deals where the fine print includes the phrase "of equal or lesser value." You are free to pick ANY tapes rather than a limited few, but the least expensive tape you order will be your "freebie."

Do I always need to use your order form?
No. If you have already submitted a signed CoLight form or equivalent,* any further orders only need a list of the videos/photos you want and data such as name, address (or address corrections), credit card number, etc.

*An equivalent would contain your name, address (billing and shipping address if credit cards are used), age, order information and a brief statement recognizing the fact that this is "copyrighted material that could be construed as sexual in nature," as well as your signature.

Do you make custom videos?
Custom videos are an option. It depends on the model desired, content and dialogue. Each of my models has absolute say in what she will or won’t do.Take a look at our Custom Vid Info page for the basics. Then,
E-mail me or call me at 405-525-8001 during my business hours to discuss what you are looking custom work you would like done.

I sent e-mail requesting information and never heard anything.
Always send an alternate method of contact, even if it is just a snail mail address. My experience has been that one out of eight e-mail messages I return will bounce back.

How/when can I contact you?
Since taking on CoherentLight full time (8 am till 5 PM Monday through Friday and 9 till noon on Saturday CST) I know I can still be difficult to catch. I just want to let it be known that I am still the prime mover here and if I don’t answer, it’s because I’m working in the studio or getting supplies. The telephone number is 405.525.8001. You may leave Voice Mail if I’m not available. You can also contact me via
e-mail at nemo@ionet.net

So how good is customer service?
Being a smoke lover myself has a pronounced effect on my level of service. I can gladly point out that no one has gone unsatisfied with the items received from CoherentLight. Remembering how I was disappointed with the videos I would order in the past, I have always worked to address the concerns of my customers before AND after their purchases.

Why is there no audio track on some of your earlier work?
Simply because a number of the earlier models liked to work with music playing in the background. Since selling work with unlicensed music on it is against the law, I thought it best to just kill the audio track. No one with a brain wants to be sued by ASCAP.

When will you begin including audio with the videos?
It already has. Virtually all of the work since Beth’s 164’s comes with an excellent audio track. Remote mikes fed directly into the system produce loud and clear dialogue from those models who aren’t too shy to speak.

Do you have a catalog and do you sell your mailing list to any other companies?
Ah, one of my favorite topics. In short, NO, I despise the idea. When a manufacturer asks me all those silly lifestyle questions I usually check all the worst possible choices just to screw with their statistics. I suggest you do the same. Down with demographics. I send out about three mailings per year to all previous customers. The return address is only identified by the letters "CLP."

Why do you do this type of photography?
I have been enamoured of this perfectly American cultural icon for as long as I can remember. It is this obsession with the smoking seductress that drove me to learn photo and video imaging just to satisfy my own desires. It wasn't until several years later that I discovered that I was not the only one.

What makes your work different?
Never being happy with what I saw on screen drove me to develop lighting that shows bright creamy whorls of smoke. I have worked for years adapting lighting systems to my specific goals. I am proud to point out that it is my work which others try to copy.

Why did you start CoherentLight?
Having thought I was the only person on earth perverse enough to have made this my fetish, I was startled when a supplier of smoking shots in old men’s mags told me of another smoke lover. When I contacted him (Hi, "T.C."), he was good enough to encourage me and suggest my work to others.

Why do you have a separate Art Gallery?
The stills and video-caps on the "advertising" pages are as close to exact duplicates of the original work as digital imaging can make them. That way you know what you are getting. However, I and the page designer do enjoy creating artwork from my original images. Some of which may not be available in the videos.

Can I post the downloaded images to my personal site/archive?
Of course, you can post them to free sites for others’ viewing pleasure. Simple adjustments such as resizing are okay, but no significant alterations such as removing copyright, etc. are permissible. Reproduction for any commercial purposes is prohibited without prior written consent from CoherentLight Photography.
